Musket Transport is providing a container at the distribution centre to help store donations that exceed the facility’s capacity. The items, which include toys, clothing, and personal care items, are distributed to over 60 ministry units and partner organizations throughout the Greater Toronto Area. This support builds on Musket’s previous work with The Salvation Army Mississauga Community Church from 2017 to 2022, where they provided containers and storage for their annual toy drive.

“We are immensely grateful to our valued corporate partner, Musket Transportation, for their generous support,” said Greg Nembhard, executive director of The Salvation Army Ontario Distribution Centre, in a release. “Their commitment to giving back during the Christmas season and beyond makes a world of difference, and we couldn’t do it without partners like them.”

Purolator distributed more than 50,000 red bags, starting on Sept. 14, with volunteers delivering bags to homes and later collecting the donations for delivery to local food banks.

“Purolator Tackle Hunger has been a part of our company’s DNA for more than 20 years and we’ll continue to go the extra mile for our communities as long as there’s a need,” said John Ferguson, president and CEO of Purolator in a release.
